Entering Dollar Amounts

Various online banking features require you to enter a dollar amount, such as when you are transferring funds between accounts, opening a new certificate or savings account, or applying for a loan.

 

As a rule, dollar amounts should be entered as shown below. You can include a decimal point if you are indicating dollars and cents; if you do not enter a decimal point, the system will assume you mean whole dollars.

You can type commas or a dollar sign along with your number, although they are never required. But if a comma would helpful to make sure you have the right amount, go ahead and type it!
